Cardi B and Offset have had their fair share of ups and downs in their relationship. They first met in early 2017 and got married that same year, but by April 2018 they were expecting their first child. However, back in 2020 Cardi filed for divorce due to allegations of infidelity on Offset’s part. Just one month later, the couple reconciled.
Cardi opened up about their relationship struggles on a recent episode of the Revolt series, hosted by Jason Lee and mentioned that she actually filed for divorce from the rapper because they were not seeing eye to eye.
“Me and Offset, we were not seeing eye to eye,” she said. “This was like, the same year that I filed for divorce and everything.”
Cardi B went on to say that she wanted Offset to speak for himself and share more of his own story.
“The main thing that I wanted to stop and everything, he stopped,” Cardi said. “He changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me.”
The couple’s commitment to working through their issues and willingness to change for each other has been a key factor in their reconciliation.
