Rob Gronkowski is a four-time Super Bowl champion. Many people consider him one of the best football players in the modern era and there is a good reason for that. While he is retired right now, it seems Gronkowski almost signed with the Buffalo Bills last year.
Gronk brought an end to his football career back in 2019 when he stated that his passion for the game was no longer there. Then the former WWE 24/7 Champion returned to play for the Buccaneers for another season.
Rob Gronkowski then confirmed last year that he officially decided to retire from the NFL. While speaking to the New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce podcast, Rob Gronkowski revealed that he almost signed with the Buffalo Bills last year.
“I was like, ‘Ahh. Tom [Brady] retired, I’ma check out some other teams. I was actually in talks with the Buffalo Bills a little bit. They wanted me to come up there.”
Rob Gronkowski then stated that the two sides never got the chance to strike a deal, as he simply stated that he just had no desire to play more football this season.
“It just wasn’t there.
[If he had the desire to play] I would probably most likely be in Buffalo right now playing with the Bills.”
Rob Gronkowski also recently hinted at returning to the NFL recently. We will have to wait and see what Rob Gronkowski will end up doing next, as NFL doesn’t seem to be in his future right now.
