Cardi B established herself as one of the best female rappers in the hip-hop world and her music has reached people all over the globe. That being said, she is not without her fair share of controversies over the past several years. In fact, this includes her incident at a strip club a few years ago. Now it seems the rapper was granted an extension after she failed to complete the mandatory days of community service.
In 2018 the rapper was involved in a brawl and was accused of throwing a bottle at two bartenders at a Flushing strip club. The rapper was charged with reckless endangerment and assault. Since then Cardi B has been in a lot of legal trouble.
As previously reported, Cardi B had accepted a plea deal related to her strip club beating case. According to TMZ, Cardi B made her way back to court after failing to start the community service portion of her plea deal.
She was present at a courthouse in Queens, where the judge gave Cardi until March 1 to complete her sentence, which includes 15 days of community service. It was said that the rapper was supposed to complete her community service by Tuesday, but clearly, she has done hours zero so far. Cardi B’s representative Drew Findling also released a statement following the extension.
Personally and professionally, Cardi is dedicated to community service and charitable endeavors. She therefore appreciates the court giving her until March 1st to complete her community service commitment in Queens, New York.”
It was said that Cardi B will begin doing community service this week. Cardi’s plea deal also requires her to stay away from the two strip club bartenders, Jade and Baddie Gi, whom she allegedly attacked at the strip club. We’ll have to see whether Cardi B will be able to complete her mandatory 15 days of community service.
