After two failed attempts, it looks like we finally have a date for the Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury fight. Ariel Helwani reported that Jake Paul will fight Tommy Fury on February 25. While a venue for the fight has not been confirmed, The Sun reported that Saudi Arabia will host the fight.
The two men were first scheduled to fight each other in December 2021 but the bout had to be called off when Fury pulled out due to a bacterial chest infection and a broken rib. Tyron Woodley replaced Fury but was knocked out by Paul.
Fury was again booked to face Paul last August in Madison Square Garden in New York. This time the fight had to be canceled when Fury was denied entry into the US due to his family’s ties to Irish crime boss Daniel Kinahan who is wanted by the US government.
It seems like Jake Paul is taking his professional boxing career seriously as he has signed a multifight contract with PFL where he will compete in both boxing and MMA. Jake is the the Head of Fighter Advocacy and will post about PFL on social media.
Just like Jake, Tommy Fury is also an undefeated fighter and half-brother of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury. Tommy recently competed in April 2022 where he defeated Daniel Bocianski in London.
Given the amazing boxing record of both men, this should be one hell of a bout. We will have to wait and see who emerges victorious on February 25. Stay tuned to Thirsty For News as we bring you similar stories.
