Janet Jackson is known for her electrifying performances. This time, though, it is a lawsuit that made headlines rather than her performance. Janet Jackson is currently facing legal action since it has been claimed that she owes her company managers a quarter of a million dollars in the unpaid balance.
Janet Jackson is being sued for reportedly owing her business managers a quarter of a million dollars in the unpaid balance. The Grammy-winning singer is facing legal action, according to court records, for what her managers are referring to as “unpaid services.”
Since 2017, a lawsuit has been brought against Jackson and a number of her businesses. According to the lawsuit, Jackson and David Weise and Associates entered into a “business management services agreement” in August of 2017.
As the “largest business management firm in the country,” the corporation describes itself. They often brag about having experience working with entertainers and other people of the kind.
“We work alongside the world’s top artists in music, film, and television, as well as athletes, executives, entrepreneurs, and other high achievers, offering a sophisticated range of concierge-style services to meet their lifestyle management needs.”
Jackson is accused by the business of refusing to pay the entire sum due for their involvement in her career. Jackson is a well-known celebrity who could possibly settle the bill quickly. There is apparently a balance of $238,593.88.
Jackson was a defendant in another action in 2018 where she was charged with having comparable unpaid bills. Janet Jackson and her brother Randy Jackson allegedly engaged her former manager Danny O’Donovan to oversee the “State of the World Tour” in 2016.
He reportedly worked for 17 months for a salary of $25,000 a month from Janet and Randy. O’Donovan received regular and timely payments for the first five months of operation, but suddenly the money stopped flowing.
The manager sued the two for $300,000 after claiming that he still hadn’t received any money. Since Janet will be going on tour once more, she will have lots of chances to settle her supposed debt. Janet extended her “Together Again” tour with four additional dates. She even surprised her fans by revealing the Christmas news.
“Thank u guys for showing this tour so much LUV. Because of you, we had to add some more dates 😘 #TogetherAgainTour 🫶🏽 JanetJackson.com.”
