Miley Cyrus Reached Out To Ex-Husband Liam Hemsworth Before ‘Flowers’ Release

Miley Cyrus announced the release of her new single on December 31 during her New Year’s Eve Party marking her long-awaited comeback to the music industry. Endless Summer Vacation her eighth studio album was also unveiled earlier this month. It was recently revealed that Miley reached out to her ex-husband before releasing her new single.

Miley Cyrus reached out to Liam Hemsworth before releasing her song Flowers and many fans see the song which she released this month as a jab at the Australian actor. According to RadarOnline she was shut down by her ex-husband. She sings on the song about how she “didn’t want to leave” but soon discovered that she can “buy myself flowers” instead of relying on a spouse.

Miley sings in another line, “We were right ’til we weren’t. Built a home and watched it burn.” Miley and Liam’s Malibu home was destroyed by the Wolsey fire in 2018, and the song was also released on Liam’s birthday. According to sources, Miley attempted to contact Liam “several times” but was turned down each time. The relocation happened three years after the ex’s bitter divorce.

“Miley wants to do some emotional healing and had hoped she and Liam could find a way to be friends again,” said a source. “But Liam won’t even return her calls and has let her know through others he doesn’t want any contact with her.” According to a source, Miley recently purchased a $8 million home in Malibu near where Liam spends his time. “I think Liam’s worst fear now,” said a friend, “is running into Miley at the grocery store!”

After nearly a decade together, Liam Hemsworth filed for divorce from Miley Cyrus in August 2019. They married on December 23, 2018 and their divorce was finalized on January 28, 2020. Liam mentioned “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce in his petition. The two signed a prenuptial agreement before getting married that laid out who got back in the event of a divorce.
