Kamaru Usman is certainly one of the top fighters in the world and many consider him the pound-for-pound world’s best fighter as well. He has competed at a high level for a long time now and always shuts up his critics. He lost his title to Leon Edwards last year, but it seems UFC got called out for photoshopping his arm onto Leon Edwards recently.
Leon Edwards was the underdog heading into UFC 278 last year, as he challenged Kamaru Usman for the UFC Welterweight Championship. No one believed he had a chance against Usman either.
However, against all odds, Edwards knocked out Kamaru Usman in the fifth round and became the new Welterweight Champion. While Edwards is the champion, it seems he was not given a proper photoshoot afterwards.
As pointed out by Reddit user u/starfoxzeronie, the user noticed that Edwards’ updated image with the championship belt on the UFC’s website was photoshopped. Usman’s right arm was digitally added onto Edwards’ body.
To the surprise of absolutely no one, fans dragged the UFC for even daring to photoshop Leon Edwards like that instead of giving him a proper photoshoot, which many fans felt he deserved.
“I’ve just realised that the photo of Leon with belt has Usman’s arm and belt photoshopped onto him lmao.
Googled Leon Edwards, this is the image that comes up for him holding the belt. That’s pretty lazy. They polished the shoulder too lmao.
Autism
Just another example of how f***** cheap the UFC are with their website and updating fighters. Imagine if it was actually Tyron Woodleys arm and not Usmans lol
Each division has a white and a black arm on file, and they just shop it on every new champ
Leon Edwards is set to defend his title for the first time against Kamaru Usman at UFC 286. The trilogy matchup will be taking place in Edwards’ home country of England in London. We’ll have to see who will end up winning the match in the end.
