Vince McMahon is one of the biggest names in professional wrestling and his mind for the business is second to none – at least, that’s what some people believe. McMahon returned to WWE earlier this month and swiftly took control of the company again, eventually becoming the Executive Chairman. In fact, some believe that McMahon was plotting revenge during his retirement.
Mr. McMahon was forced to retire from WWE last year after he was involved in a hush-money scandal and subsequently accused of sexual assault. He retired back in July 2022 but his hiatus did not remain for a long time.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon came back to the WWE offices in Stamford last week. He also brought back Brad Blum as his Chief of Staff, just a month and a half after WWE fired him.
Fans have grown increasingly concerned with the announcement of Vince McMahon’s return as Executive Chairman of WWE. Their worries stem from doubts about his leadership and fears about the direction the company may take under his control. However, it is undeniable that McMahon wields significant influence within the organization and is likely to pursue his own agenda.
Many fans also believe McMahon is a very petty and vindictive person, which resulted in his comeback. While speaking on The Wrestling Time Machine, Bill Apter talked about McMahon returning to WWE. Apter stated that he believes McMahon was plotting revenge during his retirement.
“I hate to say this, but his rest is plotting revenge. Really, that’s him. I wanna take the time machine back to what I have seen in him. I have known him since the late 70s when I used to see him backstage at the WWWF President Willie Gilzenberg and Vince McMahon Sr, his dad. You could always see him looking for angles. And I don’t mean only wrestling angles. Business angles to do something
The Rock also believes that WWE’s new owners should be as passionate as Vince McMahon. McMahon will also not require any approval from WWE’s shareholders to take any actions from now on. It remains to be seen who will end up purchasing WWE in the end, as there are still quite a few viable options.
