The police finding Carole Baskin’s first husband is something that has become a widespread rumor on social media. However, this would be something new for local authorities, as her husband is still considered missing.
According to TMZ, many people on Twitter were surprised to learn about a 2021 interview with Carole Baskin, in which she discussed an alleged report from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) claiming that her former husband, Don Lewis, had been living in Costa Rica. This information was revealed during the second season of the popular Netflix series, “Tiger King.”
Carole Baskin had already spoken about this earlier. However, despite that, people started believing the mystery was already solved, when it was clearly not.
The local authorities, specifically the Sheriff’s Office, stated that they have not received any communication from federal officials regarding the alleged discovery of Don Lewis in Costa Rica, as reported in an interview with Carole Baskin during the second season of “Tiger King”.
They have emphasized that if any such information was available, it would have been shared by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Therefore, as far as the Sheriff’s Office is concerned, the status of Don Lewis remains unchanged, he is still considered a missing person and the case remains a priority for the Sheriff’s Office.
Don Lewis has been presumed dead since 2002, which is what Joe Exotic believes as well. Exotic’s lawyer stated that the ‘Tiger King 2’ document and Carole’s ITV interview don’t make a difference in their minds about her alleged involvement in Don Lewis’s disappearance.
Carole Baskin stated that she is unsure if the alleged DHS document, which was shown to her by the producers of “Tiger King” season 2, is authentic. She has consistently maintained that she had nothing to do with the disappearance or possible death of her former husband Don Lewis.
