Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest names in all sports, and it’s reasonable to assume that he has a huge target on his back. Now, a current champion in WWE has admitted that Lesnar is in his crosshairs.
Gunther established himself as an indomitable force within the WWE. He is also currently the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion and is currently on his 232nd day with the title.
Gunther recently defended his title against Braun Strowman on the January 13th episode of WWE SmackDown. It looks like defeating a monster isn’t enough for Gunther, he would like to get his hands on The Beast.
Gunther recently appeared on the Tim Battle & Eli on the Battleground Podcast. When asked about his feelings towards getting in the ring with The Beast Incarnate, Gunther had this to say.
“Yeah, definitely, to get the opportunity to prove myself in that scenario would be fantastic. When I started as a wrestler and got back into wrestling, I always watched Brock’s matches because they are fantastic, they stand out right away. There is nobody like him. I always like those characters. Most of the people doing this who are successful, there is no copy of them. He’s always been a great wrestler, and from when I grew older in my career, I was able to analyze the work and understand the psychology and stuff. You can tell he’s one of the best to ever do it. If I get a chance to get in the ring with him, I would gladly take it.”
This isn’t the first time Gunther has sung praise for Brock Lesnar. Gunther has previously state that the Beast Incarnate would be the biggest obstacle to overcome in WWE.
Lesnar hasn’t wrestled since WWE Crown Jewel 2022 when he defeated Bobby Lashley. It is unknown when he will return to the ring.
Lesnar hasn’t been seen in action ever since defeating Bobby Lashley at the WWE Crown Jewel 2022 premium live event in Saudi Arabia. It is not sure when he will make his return.
As for Gunther, his current focus is on winning the Royal Rumble after expressing his interest in the match on WWE SmackDown. For more updates stay tuned to Ringside News.
