The family of Don Lewis expresses that the recent revelation of an unverified report from nearly 18 months ago, suggesting that Carole Baskin’s missing first husband may still be alive and on a beach, is causing them to relive their trauma. There is also a good reason for that.
According to TMZ, Jack Smith, spokesperson for the Lewis family, the daughters of Don Lewis strongly believe that their father is deceased, and the resurfacing of an unverified report nearly 18 months old which claimed that may be alive and on a beach, has been highly distressing for them.
The daughters claimed that they have been receiving tons of calls from both strangers and family members, many of whom are congratulating them on the supposed discovery of their father, which is not true. Due to this, they are relieving bad memories.
On Wednesday, there was a buzz on social media regarding a 2021 interview with Carole in which she discussed a supposed report from the Department of Homeland Security indicating that Don was residing in Costa Rica. Of course, all of this was untrue and he is still considered missing. Don’s daughters even released a statement on the matter.
“While we would certainly welcome the good news of our Dad being found alive, it’s just simply not true.”
The family stated that Don’s oldest daughter, Donna, and her husband traveled to Costa Rica in November 1997, but they never found him. It was said that the customs report that was featured in the popular Netflix series ‘Tiger King’ has caused a stir on social media.
Carole Baskin has alleged in a 2021 interview that the report was doctored to falsely state that it was from the Department of Homeland Security instead of Customs. This was done, according to Carole, in order to support a false narrative about Don’s whereabouts. Regardless, he is still presumed dead and that is not changing.
