Vince McMahon has been at the center of a scandal in the past year involving allegations of payoffs to keep accusations quiet. He is back in the thick of things now and fans have been fearing the worst. While McMahon is back, it seems he is not attending Creative meetings.
Vince McMahon’s return to the Board of Directors was perceived as a hostile takeover, as he demonstrated a new level of determination to regain control of WWE. This move was met with significant backlash, but despite the negative reactions, McMahon was appointed as the Executive Chairman of WWE. This followed the resignation of Stephanie McMahon, and he now holds this position while Nick Khan remains the sole CEO.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon came back to the WWE offices in Stamford earlier this month. He also brought back Brad Blum as his Chief of Staff, just a month and a half after WWE let him go.
Recent reports have noted that Vince McMahon is back in his WWE office. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that Vince McMahon has not attended any Creative meetings since his return.
“It was noted to us that the Vince who was at the office all night and sometimes into the early morning is not the case at this point as he leaves work now at a normal time since his duties are lessened, most notably the long creative meetings.”
This is likely to be good news for fans, who have been concerned over McMahon regaining control of WWE Creative following his return to the company. Regardless, we’ll have to see if WWE will end up getting sold in the future.
