Katy Perry Regrets Declining To Work With Billie Eilish

Katty Perry is a figure who has had a significant influence on the industry because of her efforts. However, fans must have noticed that Perry had the opportunity to collaborate with Billie Eilish, but Perry turned it down. Katy Perry now regrets not accepting Billie Eilish’s offer to collaborate.

Katy Perry expressed “great remorse” over missing the chance to collaborate with Billie Eilish. The ‘California Gurls’ hitmaker claimed she had the opportunity to work with Eilish on her popular song “Ocean Eyes,” but turned it down because she found it to be “boring.”

The 38-year-old discussed the potential collaboration with a small group of admirers during what appeared to be a private performance, according to a TikTok video shared by 102.7 KIIS FM on Friday. Perry claimed to have gotten a message via email.

“Hey, check out this new artist. I’d really like us to work with her because she was working with me for Unsub [Records].”

“It was a song called ‘Ocean Eyes,’ and it was just a blonde girl. And I was like, ‘Meh, boring.’”

“Don’t let this end up on the Internet”, Perry pleaded after acknowledging that turning down the offer was a “big mistake, huge mistake.” One of Eilish’s most well-liked tracks to date, ‘Ocean Eyes,’ single-handedly launched her to international popularity.

Eilish has won seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award for Best Original Song for ‘No Time To Die’ after becoming a regular at the top of the charts. Furthermore, there are no animosities between the two.

According to her 2021 documentary, ‘Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry,’ Perry and Eilish are friends. Orlando Bloom, who plays Perry’s husband, was presented to the “Bad Guy” singer, but at first glimpse, Eilish had no idea who he was. Perry then told Eilish in the clip.

“My fiancé who doesn’t listen to modern music, he’ll only play you in the car all the time.”

“That guy?! That was him?! No way! Bring him back. I want to meet him again. He kissed me on the cheek. I did not know that was him. I thought that was just some dude Katy Perry met.”

However, after the couple left, Eilish and the stranger disagreed about who he was. She immediately started fangirling when Eilish’s brother Finneas revealed that Bloom was in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean.’ Fortunately for her, Bloom came back and gave her another hug, which she valued more the second time.
