Pat McAfee is renowned as a highly talented and imaginative figure in the WWE. He has demonstrated his exceptional abilities as both a wrestler and an accomplished commentator on Friday Night SmackDown. McAfee was gone for quite a while and finally returned during the Royal Rumble last night. In fact, it seems his return was kept a secret.

Pat McAfee made his WWE debut in 2018 and quickly established a feud with Adam Cole. By 2021, he had transitioned to being a color commentator on SmackDown, joining Michael Cole. McAfee’s charming personality and distinctive style have earned him accolades from fans and critics alike, as he has brought a new perspective to the commentary role.
McAfee was absent from WWE television for several months but would make his return during the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Michael Cole welcomed him to the commentary booth, while Corey Grave was simply irate.
According to a report by PWInsider, Pat McAfee’s move to commentary was kept under wraps, with only a select few in WWE aware of it. This caused a sudden scramble to provide McAfee with a chair and headset so he could join Michael Cole and Corey Graves at commentary.
It was further reported that Cole and Graves also didn’t know about McAfee’s return and their reactions were and their reactions were quite genuine. That being said, it is not known whether McAfee is back on a regular basis just yet. We’ll keep you updated on McAfee’s status.
