Jake Paul attempted to salvage his fight with Tommy Fury, but it ultimately fell through. Due to Fury’s difficulties in entering the US, Jake decided to move on. However, the match is finally on and it will take place in Saudi Arabia. Ahead of the upcoming fight, it seems Paul really thinks very little of his opponent.
Paul would then make it clear he still wants to face Tommy Fury in the future. Thankfully, that turned out to be true as the two will be duking it each other on February 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Tommy Fury comes from a long line of Gypsy boxers and is the half-brother of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury. Due to this, he has always been compared to Tyson Fury.
While speaking to Seconds Out, Jake Paul utterly dismissed Tommy Fury as the Fury Family puppet, while noting that his father John and brother Tyson are the real boxers.
“I think he’s a big talker. I think he’s a big talker but I don’t think he believes the things that he’s saying. He’s the Fury family puppet. Tyson and John both were real fighters, real boxers, real dogs and Tommy feels like he has to live up to that so he is saying the things that they say.”
The Problem Child and Tommy Fury were supposed to square off against each other on two different occasions but they never happened in the end. Paul is 6-0 in his professional boxing career, with his last win being against Anderson Silva.
We’ll have to see whether The Problem Child will be destroying Tommy Fury, as fans are certainly excited about the upcoming boxing match.
