During last year’s CinemaCon, Olivia Wilde was served legal documents for custody while she was presenting a movie at the event. Jason Sudeikis was the one who sent her the documents. This led to a series of unfortunate events and now it seems Wilde and Sudeikis are fighting over child support issues, as their divorce is clearly going on.
Jason Sudeikis was then called a scumbag by many fans for sending the papers at such a bad time. Wilde and Sudeikis went their separate ways back in 2020 and never got married even after getting engaged. The two also share two children.
According to TMZ, Bill Beslow, Jason’s attorney in New York, has approached a New York judge to resolve any outstanding child support matters. However, the situation is complicated due to prior rulings from both a New York judge and a California judge, stating that all custody issues should be handled in Los Angeles.
On January 4, Bill Beslow approached a New York court and requested resolution of all child support issues. The judge granted his request and scheduled a hearing for February 15.
Sources stated that he does not want any child support from Olivia, adding that he is willing to pay her “a reasonable amount” in child support either decided by both of them or a New York judge.
Sources close to Olivia stated that Olivia is confused as both a New York and California judge have already declared the case to be in Los Angeles, rather than New York. Her objective is to have both custody and child support matters determined in Los Angeles.
Beslow is appealing the decision to have custody decided in L.A. Regarding Olivia Wilde, Laura Wasser, Olivia’s attorney, and her New York lawyer have submitted legal documents to the judge on February 15, requesting the dismissal of Bill Beslow’s attempt to address child support in New York. They seek for a Los Angeles judge to have jurisdiction over all issues related to the children.
Clearly, the dispute between the two is far from over at this point in time. We will keep you updated on this ongoing story, so keep checking back at Thirsty For News.
