Ozzy Osbourne has given us countless hits in his lifetime. His live shows are heaven for millions of heavy metal fans. He has now retired from touring and subsequent shows due to bad health.
Osbourne took to Instagram and expressed his sadness over the cancellation of his future tour. Clarifying the medical ramifications which will restrain him from performing in the near future, he has apologized to his loyal fans. He mentioned a recent accident in which he injured his spine and is facing problems ever since.
“This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine,”
The Black Sabbath singer has assured his fans about having no problems with his voice. However, medical procedures like stem cell therapy and HAL treatment have rendered him unable to do long-running concerts and out of energy. Later in the post, he mentions canceling his upcoming UK/European tours and any touring as a matter of fact.
“My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.”
Ozzy Osbourne has struggled with a number of health problems for many years. He had his first “No More Tours” retirement tour 30 years ago, following a multiple sclerosis diagnosis. The identical spinal injury is what led to the latest cancellation and retirement from touring.
“I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required. Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really F–KS ME UP, more than you will ever know. Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way.”
The legendary heavy metal singer has revealed working with his team to work out this problem. Osbourne’s team is carving out a plan to do shows and concerts in the comfort of his home without traveling. Lastly, he thanked his team and the people who arrange everything for him and praised them for their dedication.
Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase. Osbourne is nominated for four Grammy awards at the forthcoming ceremony taking place in Los Angeles on Sunday.
