Tom Brady has been regarded as one of the most successful NFL quarterbacks of all time. His amazing athleticism and impressive skills have made him a big name in the world of football. But we have seen celebrities of different sports cross paths with each other on many occasions. Recently, top WWE superstar Cody Rhodes expressed his desire to see Tom Brady show up at WrestleMania.
Cody Rhodes believes now that Tom Brady has retired from the NFL and would start calling games on Fox, his next stop could see be WWE. Rhodes further elaborated that Brady should find his way to WrestleMania during an interview with WWE’s “The Bump.”
“I was very shocked to see that [Brady had retired], not shocked as well because time comes for us all,” Rhodes said. “Tom Brady needs to maybe find his way to WrestleMania, maybe find his way anywhere WWE, Tom, live it up now. There might be a future here.”
Cody Rhodes, much like many others, has credited Tom Brady as one of the undisputed greatest of all time. In fact, Rhodes has cited him as one of the biggest inspirations for his career.
The American Nightmare presumed that the seven-time-SuperBowl champion would continue to play for at least one more season. Cody Rhodes even thought that Tom Brady would play on one of the former New England Patriot’s rumored new teams in Las Vegas or San Francisco.
On the other hand, Cody Rhodes made his grand return to WWE this past weekend at the 2023 Royal Rumble. The Prodigal Son came back after being on the shelf for months due to injury, to win the 30-man over-the-top-rope melee and earn the opportunity for a main event championship match at WrestleMania 39.
Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL at age 45. Furthermore, with WrestleMania set to be the biggest night of Cody Rhodes’ life, an appearance by Tom Brady could be extra special for him to go into his championship match with encouraging words from the man he has cited as an idol throughout his entire life.
