Tom Brady is a highly acclaimed football legend and for good reason. Despite the attention surrounding his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he has a remarkable chance ahead of him. Being an established player for so many seasons, fans started wondering when he would retire permanently. Now it seems fans will no longer have to ask that question as Brady himself just confirmed he is retiring for good.
Tom Brady’s marriage had been strained and subsequently ended. Despite originally announcing his retirement last year, the football star decided not to follow through, upsetting his wife, Gisele Bündchen. The couple reportedly drifted apart and their divorce was finalized in October of last year.
In addition to that, many of his teammates started believing that he was going to retire soon, following Brady’s abysmal performance against the Dallas Cowboys last month.
The NFL GOAT took to Twitter and uploaded a video, where he finally announced that he is retiring from active competition for good. He then proceeded to thank all of his fans for their support over the years.
I’ll get the point right away – I’m retiring for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, when I woke up last time I figured I press ‘record’ and let you guys know first. Won’t be long-winded, you only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used that last year. So, I really thank you guys so much to every single one of you, for supporting me, my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever, there’s too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream and I wouldn’t change a thing, love you all.
Many fans have already shown Tom Brady a lot of love and support following his announcement. However, fans can’t help but think he ended up ruining his marriage for no reason after not sticking to his retirement last year. Regardless, what’s done is done and now Brady can enjoy his life in retirement in peace.
