Taika Waititi’s Engagement Ring For Rita Ora Might Be Worth Half A Million Dollars

Rita Ora and Taika Waititi first sparked relationship rumours in April 2021, and they ultimately walked their first red carpet together that August. Ora confirmed that she and Waititi tied the knot during an interview with Heart Radio Breakfast. Rita recently showed off her emerald sparkler from Taika Waititi.

Taika Waititi’s emerald sparkler on Rita Ora might turn some fans green with envy. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, the “Your Song” singer finally unveiled her engagement ring from her filmmaker husband, whom she apparently married in London last August. “He did good,” Ora remarked as she displayed her massive emerald set in a sparkling pavé halo, which she piled with her delicate diamond wedding band.

You know what you want and I felt like I really knew I wanted to be with this person and I just wanted it to feel really right. So I may have taken him to the shop and pointed out exactly what ring I wanted.

Ora’s sparkler, according to Maxwell Stone of UK-based jeweler Steven Stone might be worth $500,000. “The stunning ring features a 10-carat emerald-cut Columbian green emerald in a halo setting,” Stone told Page Six Style. “Colombian emeralds are typically the most expensive in the world — with their beautiful depth of color, they can sometimes appear to glow. Emeralds are always a symbolic choice for an engagement ring as people of ancient times thought of them as a promise of good luck,” she added.

Ora appeared on the show to promote her new single ‘You Only Love Me,’ and subsequently changed into a pink bridal-inspired dress with a veil to perform the song. The singer also wore a vintage wedding dress and veil for the single’s music video which included a strapless silhouette, pleated bodice, and, most notably, a cocoon-like attached veil.

Ora also talked about her marriage to Waititi and how it motivated her to write new music on Wednesday. The singer went on to remark that the road she took to get to this point as well as the past two years had drastically changed her life. She added that deciding to spend the rest of your life with someone is a major decision which prompted her to start writing again.

The news came five months after a source verified that the pair had married in a short ceremony and after they fueled marriage rumors on social media by wearing what seemed to be wedding bands.
