Xzibit and his ex-wife Krista have two children named Xavier and Gatlyn. Krista separated from her husband last year and has been looking for spousal support ever since. However, it appears like her needs are still not fulfilled as now she wants an increase in her child support.
Last August, a judge ordered Xzibit to pay his former wife $6,000 per month in total support and to foot the bill for the couple’s divorce-related legal expenses. According to court documents that Radar at the time was able to obtain, X would pay $2,239 every month until Gatlyn, who’s 10 years old, turned 18.
Temporary spousal support was added on at a rate of $3,702 per month, with the rapper contributing an additional $5,941 to cover support arrears from last July. Krista Joiner, X’s ex-wife, is now requesting a judge grant her an additional $6,000 per month, bringing her total amount to $14,000.
According to Radar, in her most recent filing, Krista stated that she had to borrow money from family and friends to support Gatlyn. She even charged Xzibit with failing to provide the financial records she requested, despite the rapper having been deposed on December 19. Krista also stated that Xzibit hasn’t even made a single attempt to get in touch with their son since October 2022.
“I believe the last time he actually saw Gatlyn was around [Xzibit’s] own birthday in September 2022. Gatlyn called [Xzibit] on Christmas and [Xzibit] refused to answer or call him back. Our son is devastated.”
Krista continued by stating that Xzibit’s most recent tax returns revealed he earned $45,000 a month, despite having previously stated he earned $25,000 a month. Besides that, she stated that Xzibit has stopped paying Gatlyn’s school fees and has refused to pay for their medical insurance.
“Meanwhile, we see on [Xzibit’s] social media posts that he is frequently on tour in exotic countries like Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Australia, and New Zealand, only in the last few months.”
Xzibit initially requested the judge to refrain from awarding his ex any spousal support due to financial difficulties brought on by the pandemic as his tours and appearances were canceled. But according to Krista, the rapper’s brother Jason allegedly told her that Xzibit’s cannabis business brings in more than $1 million per month. However, the rapper debunked her claims and wrote “there will be blood” on her hands for spreading rumors.
