Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to Super Bowl LIV which is their first trip in 50 years, where they defeated the San Francisco 49ers. Mahomes was named Super Bowl MVP for his performance becoming the second black quarterback and the youngest overall. In addition he is the third African American quarterback to win a Super Bowl. If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes seems to be in for a cold one with a side of foot sweat.
The Kansas City star declared on Monday that if the Chiefs beat the Eagles, he’ll gulp a beer right out of Cooper Manning’s boot. After Cooper had asked him a series of questions regarding cowboy boots, the quarterback made the pledge to the oldest Manning sibling during a fun interview during Super Bowl week’s opening night.
Mahomes eventually stated that as long as Cooper joined him in the beer-guzzling, he’d drink one out of the sneaker with no issue. “Post-Super Bowl, if you bring that thing there, and we get the win,” Mahomes said, “I’ll drink the beer out of the boot with you.”
Of course, the 27-year-old signal-caller came with a few of restrictions. First that it has to be Coors Light because everyone knows Mahomes likes his Silver Bullet and second that Cooper has to be hygenic about it all. “I’ve got to make sure you wash your socks before we do that,” Mahomes said.
While the two were joking about the bet the odds are that it will go down. After all, Mahomes was no stranger to gulping down beer when the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2020. The Big Game will begin at 3:30 p.m.
So there’s plenty of time to cool the suds and clean the boots for Mahomes just in case. Let’s wait and see what happens. Which side do you support? Keep an eye on Thirsty for the most latest updates.
