Wendy Williams’ Judge Denies Ex-Husband Kevin Hunter’s Demands To Resume Alimony Payments

Wendy Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter filed a motion in the court to resume his alimony payments in November 2022 after he reportedly stopped getting them months earlier in February 2022. However, according to recent reports, Williams won’t have to resume paying her ex-husband as the court has declined Kevin’s demands.

According to RadarOnline, a New Jersey judge stated that Kevin’s requests were “not emergent,” and ruled that the most recent application should be “dismissed without prejudice.” This was an unexpected judgment considering Wendy’s ex-husband had claimed he is “broke” and “cannot pay his bills” just weeks earlier.

The judge also reportedly turned down Kevin’s demand that Wendy Williams pays his legal expenses. However, The Sun was able to obtain some court records that indicate Kevin’s battle to resume receiving alimony payments is far from over.

The judge did not consider Kevin’s alimony payment demands as an emergency and recommended Wendy’s ex-husband take the case to mediation. “The parties are to participate in binding arbitration,” the judge ruled this week.

“The issues surrounding the severance payments, and the [Qualified Domestic Relations Order] are disputed and therefore need to be mediated.”

Kevin previously made a request to the court for Wendy’s financial guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, “to make payments as contractually required under the MSA and Severance Agreement.” Shortly after submitting the motion for his support payments to resume, Kevin asserted that he is “broke” and “cannot pay his bills,” including his homeowner association dues, car insurance, and unpaid credit card bills.
