Patrick Mahomes Duped By Reporter Who Claimed Rihanna Loved Him

The Super Bowl is knocking on the door, spiking fans’ blood pressure, and this year’s Super Bowl LVII will take place on Sunday, February 12 in Glendale, Arizona. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will square off in State Farm Stadium. In the previous five years each of these teams has won this game once. This is Philly’s first appearance to the game since 2018. The Chiefs are making their third visit since 2020.

However, as exciting as this appears to be it may not even be the major draw because the big game is able to lure celebrities for their halftime show every year. This year appears to be one of their biggest yet, since Rihanna will be the performer, and her preparations are being assisted by JAY-Z and his company Roc Nation.

During the Super Bowl media day press conferences this week, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was duped. When discussing Rihanna’s highly anticipated performance, a reporter highlighted how much Rihanna adores Pat. “Rihanna came out and said that you are the greatest quarterback ever. Hearing that, how does that make you feel?” he asked Mahomes. 

Excitedly, Mahomes said that his family is probably more excited to watch Rihanna than to see him play. He said that, “It makes me feel great. She’s gonna crush it at halftime, I have family members that I think are more excited about the halftime show than they are the game. So whatever Rihanna says is like the gospel. I’m glad she went with me for that honor.”

However, the reporter quickly retracted his comments, saying that he was joking with Pat. “She didn’t, Im just messing with you,” he said. Disappointed, Mahomes replied, “Aw, man. You got me up here smiling and smirking.” Regardless, Pat does not require celebrity approval to recognize his worth because he is without a doubt one of the top quarterbacks in football.

Rihanna is one of the finest performers and musicians of her generation and she is planning to embark on a headlining tour shortly after performing on the nation’s greatest platform this weekend.
