Lizzo and Adele’s Grammys Night Involved Alcohol Flasks and Getting Drunk

The 65th Grammy Awards returned in full swing on Feb 6, kicking off a night of music marked by historic victories, unexpected results, tributes to the late rapper Takeoff, and the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. However, the Grammys for Lizzo and Adele had a quite blurry ending and alcohol is to blame for that.

The artist revealed that the two got “so drunk” at the celebrity-studded event after she brought several flasks of alcohol inside. Lizzo appeared in an interview on “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show,” where she admitted, “I legitimately was so drunk.”

“Me and Adele were drinking so much that we didn’t even really know what the categories were at this point.”

The friends could be seen laughing together even when the cameras weren’t recording as they talked and encouraged their nearby peers. “We were like, ‘Did they do Best Artist?’” Lizzo said.

“We didn’t even know, and when it was time and they would call our names we would just be like, ‘Smile.’”

Lizzo admitted that she entered the Crypto.com Arena with a flask of tequila for herself and one for Adele that contained white wine. And as soon as she had finished her flask, she quickly moved on to finish Adele’s.

“I brought it for Adele, and then I drank hers. I had so many flasks. I had like three flasks at the table. Always be prepared.

I had zero say in where I was sitting, but Adele had 100% say in where she was sitting. So therefore Adele FaceTimed me when I was in Grammy rehearsal a few days before. She was like ‘Oh my God! Oh my God, we’re sitting next to each other.’”

Lizzo achieved a major victory on Sunday night by winning Record of the Year for her song “About Damn Time.” While Adele won the award for Best Pop Solo Performance for her song “Easy on Me.” Keep an eye on Thirsty For News to get more updates.
