Both teams boast a Super Bowl victory in the past five years, setting the stage for an intense and unforgettable battle. Football fans across the nation are gearing up for this highly anticipated event. In fact, even Charles Barkley is betting a ton of cash on the Eagles.
This marks the Philadelphia Eagles’ return to the Super Bowl after a three-year absence, while the Kansas City Chiefs are making their third appearance since 2020. The tension is palpable as fans eagerly await the outcome of this historic game.
Charles Barkley has announced his plans to head to Las Vegas with a group of friends for the Super Bowl, where he intends to party through the night. He also revealed his intention to place a $100,000 wager on the Philadelphia Eagles to emerge victorious in the game. With such a bold move, it seems that Barkley is confident in the Eagles’ chances and is ready to back his beliefs with a substantial amount of money.
“Me and 12 of my friends go to Vegas every year for the Super Bowl,” Barkley said on the show. “There’s a good chance I’ma be pulling an all-nighter … Sunday into Monday, because we’re playing golf Saturday and Sunday, the Super Bowl starts around 3, 3:30 Pacific Time. So by the time the game ends, I’ll probably gamble all night Sunday and go straight to the airport.”
Following his announcement of the bet, Barkley initiated a chant in support of the Eagles. “I’ll probably bet $100,000 on the game. Go Eagles,” he shouted while leading a cheer. “E. A. G. L. E. S. Eagles!”
This isn’t the first time Barkley has placed a significant bet on the Eagles in the Super Bowl. In 2018, when the Eagles defeated the Patriots, he spoke with Jimmy Kimmel about his winnings and jokingly said, “In Alabama, it’d buy a big condo. In L.A., a small guest house.” In fact, betting odds for the event are very close, so we’ll have to wait and see who will end up winning the game.
