Rihanna is all set to perform at the 2023 Super Bowl at State Farm Stadium which will be kicking off in just a few hours on Fox. That being said, Rihanna recently claimed that while preparing for her own performance, she watched Beyoncé’s Super Bowl halftime show ‘a couple of times.’
The pop icon recently appeared on The Process with Nate Burleson podcast where she praised Beyonce for her electrifying performances and revealed she watched her Super Bowl performance while preparing hers. “Oh my god – yes! I watched Beyonce’s halftime performances a couple of times,” she said.
“She is a beast and a whole other level. Just to be inspired, really.”
Back in 2013, Beyoncé performed as the halftime show’s headlining act. She performed a medley of songs from her early albums, including Dangerously in Love, B’Day, and 4. However, the much-anticipated Destiny’s Child reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, who joined to perform their throwback hits “Bootylicious” and “Independent Women” before joining Beyonce for “Single Ladies,” was the highlight that everyone was talking about.
During Coldplay’s year in 2016, the lead single from Lemonade, “Formation,” was unexpectedly performed by the Houston native and this performance marked her second appearance at a major NFL event. Keep an eye on Thirsty For News to get the latest updates regarding the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
