Cardi B Almost Missed Rihanna’s Super Bowl Performance Because Of Her High Heels

Rihanna sang a number of her hit songs and danced to them at the State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona where the Philadelphia Eagles were playing the Kansas City Chiefs. Rihanna performed well-known tunes such as ‘We Found Love,’ ‘Where Have You Been,’ ‘Diamonds,’ and ‘Work,’ and even hinted at her pregnancy throughout the performance which was trending on social media on Sunday. However, it appears that Rihanna was not the only one making headlines during the Super Bowl. Cardi B is also going viral after nearly missing Rihanna’s Super Bowl 2023 halftime performance on Sunday night because of her dangerously high footwear.

In a funny video circulating on social media the 30-year-old ‘WAP’ rapper can be seen running in a pair of dangerously tall bubblegum-pink platforms. It is presumably the Christian Louboutin Dolly Alta Platform Pump ($1,195) with a 6.3-inch heel in an attempt to make it to the event on time. Offset shuffles along beside his wife while holding her hand.

Cardi paired the ankle-breaking stilettos with skinny jeans, a navy Chanel sweatshirt and one of the luxury label’s iconic quilted flap bags, along with a diamond-encrusted Jacob & Co. watch. “LMFAO Cardi B and Offset running to make sure they don’t miss Rihanna’s halftime performance is sending meeeeee,” one person captioned the behind-the-scenes video.

“My God Cardi looks tf good!!!! But this is just so hilarious … Cardi and Offset was NOT missing the Rihanna concert,” they added. Fans suggested the Grammy winner to remove her heels or have Offset piggyback her.

“Damn Offset just pick her up. You slowly jogging like you wearing the shoes too,” one person quipped. “He wanna run for real and leave her in the dust so bad,” another joked. Luckily, Cardi shared a happy update for her followers on her Instagram Stories afterward: “We just made it on time.” The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker performed in Arizona ahead of the big game, dressed in an iridescent Rick Owens Prong Gown ($1,350) and edgy Tom Ford Lock Stiletto Sandals ($1,290).
