Anthony Davis has more often than not impressed as the LA Lakers’ main center. However, his form dips every now and then, leading to a fluctuating run of good plays. Now, he has deactivated his Instagram after losing to the Portland Trail Blazers.
LA Lakers lost to the Portland Trail Blazers 127-115. Davis played 31 minutes and finished with 19 points and 20 rebounds but couldn’t prevent yet another disappointing defeat. Just a few hours after the game, AD surprisingly deactivated his Instagram account.
Davis has had a very weird last few days with the team. He looked cold when Lebron James broke Kareen Abdul-Jabbar’s record for most points scored in NBA. As the entire bench got up in anticipation of James’ historic bucket, he noticeably sat down.
With the loss, L.A. Lakers fell to 26-32 on the season. It puts them in 13th out of 15 teams in the Western Conference. They’re 2.5 games behind the Utah Jazz for the final postseason play-in spot.
Against the Blazers, AD’s difficulties were evident in the loss. Only Drew Eubanks and Trendon Watford were available for Portland to alternately guard him. Even with a clear edge, he struggled from the field, making only 8 of his team’s 18 shots.
The Lakers have struggled all season, with Davis missing significant time because of injury. LeBron also had quite a similar fate with injuries and contributed a very small to the team. Anthony Davis is set to leave the L.A. team and we hope that he finds his form in his next team.
