Gwyneth Paltrow Trolls Ethan Hawke After He Shared Throwback Photos With Rihanna

Ethan Hawke was attending an NBA All-Star Game in New York with his son and daughter in 2015 when they ended up sitting courtside next to Rihanna, and Levon was the one that got photographed with her. So, when Ethan was later seen sitting next to and chatting with RiRi, it seemed that he had asked his son to swap seats with him. Ethan has now brought back the viral photographs of himself talking to Rihanna during the basketball game, and the reactions are hilarious.

The actor moved to Instagram one day after Rihanna’s incredible Super Bowl halftime performance to post the iconic flashback photos from 2015, which showed him and the singer interacting while sitting courtside at the NBA All-Star Game. Hawke captioned the photographs, sharing a few of them, “After Rihanna’s brilliant halftime performance, I’m hoping my son can find it in his heart to forgive a Dad for taking his moment.”

Celebrities and fans alike reacted to Hawke’s post in the comments section, including Gwyneth Paltrow who ridiculed the “Before Sunrise” star for the way he sat in his seat. “Could you sit up straight, for god’s sake?” she quipped. “You’re sitting next to Rihanna!”

Fans and other celebrities also chimed in. Andy Cohen wrote, “BEST PIC EVER,” while Daveed Diggs commented, “This is EVERYTHING.” Natasha Lyonne and Carla Gugino shared flame emojis and laughing crying emojis. Alyssa Milano, like Paltrow, blasted Hawke’s posture, tweeting, “Not sure I would have gone with this posture whilst sitting next to a goddess.”

Meanwhile, Hawke’s son Levon who is now 21 years old appears to have forgiven his father for “taking his moment” with Rihanna as he appreciated his father’s tweet. “Iconic content,” wrote Levon. Hawke has a son, Levon and a daughter, Maya Hawke with ex-wife Uma Thurman. The Academy Award nominee and his wife Ryan have two kids, Clementine, 15, and Indiana, 12.

While these photographs garnered attention at the time, fans only had Rihanna on their minds as she took the Super Bowl halftime stage at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. in February.
