Brock Lesnar is a highly acclaimed professional wrestler with numerous accolades, including two victories at the Royal Rumble. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful in the history of professional wrestling. Lesnar has influenced many stars and this includes a particular star in AEW.
Former WWE Superstar Big Cass, who now goes by the name Big Bill Morrissey, underwent a massive change over the years. He reinvented himself in the independent circuit after battling depression and other issues, and he managed to garner a lot of respect thanks to his dedication.
The current AEW star has been working as part of The Firm and never fails to make his presence felt, no matter what. His impressive stature has helped him gain fanfare. Being such a big man, it comes as no surprise that he drew inspiration from Brock Lesnar.
While speaking on the Comedy Store Wrestling podcast, Big Bill talked about some of his influences in professional wrestling. Bill explained how Brock Lesnar influenced him in a huge way.
In terms of in-ring, I watched guys like (Kevin) Nash, Undertaker, Kane. A guy more people need to watch is Brock. Especially after he came back in 2012. All the young guys that I talked to in AEW, I tell them, the most important thing to me, this is just my opinion, the most important thing to me when you’re on camera is convincing the audience at home that you believe what you’re doing is real. Brock does that. When you watch a Brock Lesnar match, how many moves does he do? Not many, but he walks around with such a menacing attitude and you believe, as a viewer, that he thinks it’s real. He’s trying to kill this m********. Brock is a big influence, especially after 2012. Undertaker, Kevin Nash, there is a lot of other guys I’m missing, but those are the big ones.
Brock Lesnar is set to square off against Bobby Lashley at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 18th in Montreal. We will have to wait and see how their match will turn out.
