Vince McMahon Had Classic Reaction To Putting WWE Superstars In Shower Scene

Vince McMahon’s name is undoubtedly one of the most controversial in the annals of professional wrestling. While some fans label him as eccentric and inscrutable, there’s no denying that his approach to the industry is a calculated one. That being said, he had an amusing reaction to putting WWE Superstars in a shower scene.

FTR was known as The Revival in WWE, and they had a lot of success in NXT as the NXT Tag Team Champions, where they faced several solid teams. After a stint on RAW and SmackDown, and a few WWE main roster title runs, it was clear that the two were not happy in the company anymore.

FTR was largely ridiculed on the main roster, despite winning titles there. This included the time the two were featured in a shower segment, where they even shaved each other’s backs.

While speaking on his FTR podcast, Dax Harwood talked about the shower segment on WWE television, where Cash Wheeler was seen shaving Dax Harwood’s back. He then talked about McMahon’s reaction to the ‘Ucey Cream’ segment.

“When that was presented to us, obviously it’s supposed to be embarrassing for us, and I’m thinking like, this is childish sh*t. It’s not even funny. What is supposed to be embarrassing about someone shaving my back? Is it supposed to be embarrassing because Vince thinks it’s effeminate? Is that him subjecting a certain group of humanity as an embarrassment to humanity. I started thinking, ‘What is the embarrassment’, because I’m not embarrassed. Dan and I are probably the only two wrestlers in the world right now who have complete body hair everywhere. We’re the ones who don’t shave.

It was hilarious. We thought it was funny. I knew going into it I was gonna make the absolute most that I could out of it. I wanted to oversell it and I wanted to show him (Vince) like, hey dude, we’re more than what you think. Even if you’re going to try to embarrass us until we leave, we’re going to have fun doing it. The last thing we did on stage was, I did this forward roll, and then I barrel rolled all the way through the curtain to the back, and when we got to the back and stood up, we got a standing ovation from everybody, Vince included, and Paul Heyman, who I don’t trust any more than I trust my fu**ing dog to read the bible when I go upstairs, he came up to us and he gave us this hug and he said, ‘You always thought you were gonna get over by being a great wrestler, huh? Now you’re over with the man’, and he pointed to Vince. To be fair, that’s a lot of the office. Whenever you’re high on Vince’s list, everybody is your best friend. Everybody loves you. Everybody thinks you’re the greatest thing in the world. When Vince doesn’t care about you, that’s when they forget about you and that’s when they don’t have time for you.”

Dax Harwood also recently hinted at returning to WWE in the future. It remains to be seen whether FTR will end up going back to WWE after almost three years since their release.
