Brock Lesnar has always been a dangerous force of nature in WWE and he proved that with the mayhem he caused at last night’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. His third encounter with The Almighty Bobby Lashley ended in destruction, however, there was a spot with a WWE official being attacked by Brock Lesnar, which now has been confirmed to be a planned move.
The spot saw Brock Lesnar on the outside of the ring after the match ended. Just seconds later, Brock Lesnar laid carnage on him by delivering a thunderous F-5 to the match official, knocking him out cold.
This looked very similar to Brock Lesnar’s unplanned move at last month’s Royal Rumble event when he laid his hands on a referee. Many speculated that Lesnar did that again, however, that does not seem the case.
Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that this was a planned move for Brock Lesnar to do during the Elimination. Furthermore, he also stated that the Beast Incarnate was not punished for his actions at the Royal Rumble as well in January.
“Brock Lesnar’s ref spot this time was planned. He was not punished for the unplanned one at Royal Rumble.”
Bobby Lashley picked up the win via DQ, however, the saga between the two behemoths looks to be far from over. Moreover, with Bray Wyatt declaring his intentions to set his sights on the victor, this could be interesting to see how it unfolds on the road to WrestleMania 39.
