Lil Durk is one of the most well-known and controversial artists in the Hip-Hop industry. Lil Durk has recently provided documentation from a 2013 arrest in Chicago to dispel any rumors that he may have acted as a snitch or cooperated with law enforcement officials in their investigation of the case.
Over the weekend, the OTF leader took to his Instagram Stories to share the document, which revealed that during his June 2013 arrest, he refused to incriminate one of his associates for possessing a firearm and requested legal representation while interacting with law enforcement officials.
This evidence was presented to dispel any unfounded accusations that he may have collaborated with authorities during the course of the investigation.
According to Akademiks, who unearthed the paperwork on his own Instagram page, Durk “later resolved that case in court with his lawyer.” Lik Durk also provided some words of wisdom for his followers when it comes to snitching. “Just shut the f#ck up and you good #thevoice2.0,” he wrote in his Instagram Story.
Lil Durk’s fans were left disappointed when he teased a midnight release of his highly-anticipated album, The Voice 2.0, on Saturday (February 18) but failed to follow through on the release.
In a separate development, the topic of snitching has remained a hotly-debated issue within the hip hop community. Over the weekend, footage surfaced of YSL Woody apparently cooperating with authorities during an interrogation in October 2021, which further fueled ongoing discussions and controversies related to snitching within the genre.
