Lil Wayne is currently one of the top rappers in the hip-hop world and has produced numerous classic tracks. Along with producing great music, the rapper is now a pro skater and he recently demonstrated some fresh fantastic moves.
On Saturday, the Young Money mogul took to his Instagram to share a video in which he performed a variety of stunts at his indoor skate park while wearing a black Balenciaga hoodie, including an ollie and a front-side 180. He captioned the video with “It’s up,” expressing his pride in his development after ten years of practice.
E-40, Ty Dolla $ign, and Jacquees are a few of the artists who praised Wayne for his continued progress as a skateboarder. Even professional skater Nik Tucker joined in, urging Wayne to start a Young Money skating team.
Lil Wayne surprisingly received his first professional-model skateboard in December and it signaled the end of his amateur status. To honor Wayne’s dedication over the years, Young Money Skate’s videographer Phil Lopez gave him a pro model board that was adorned with a picture of the rapper when he was young and some of Weezy’s favorite rap lyrics.
“This was a Christmas gift, but I decided to turn it into a surprise because it would be more meaningful that way. As Wayne’s videographer, I wanted to do something special for him that he’d remember. I approached Torey, owner of Thank You Skate Co., with the board design, and he was able to help execute the production process.”
In other news, the rapper last week joined J. Cole and Jack Harlow as playable characters in NBA 2K23, fulfilling his dreams of playing basketball. Keep an eye on Thirsty For News to get more updates.
