Conor McGregor previously made headlines at MTV’s Video Music Awards after he got involved in a scuffle with Machine Gun Kelly while Megan Fox was still with Kelly. That was just the tip of the iceberg as a lot of things happened right after that. He was also accused of assaulting a woman in his yacht, but it seems that lawsuit has been dropped.
Conor McGregor was accused of punching Francesco Facchinetti, a celebrity DJ in Rome and breaking his nose in the process. The DJ then stated that he will be filing a lawsuit against McGregor. McGregor was even called white trash for the incident. It was then revealed that charges were indeed filed against Conor McGregor.
As previously reported, McGregor was under investigation for an alleged attack on a woman on board his yacht in Ibiza in Spain in July last year. She accused McGregor of assaulting her and threatening to drown her.
According to the Irish media outlet Independent.ie, Samantha Murphy, the accuser, dropped her civil action lawsuit against McGregor. A month after filing the case, Samantha Murphy filed an appeal to terminate it earlier this week. Alvaro Blasco, Murphy’s solicitor, could only confirm that a notice of discontinuance had been filed and that he intended to seek dismissal of the case.
Murphy had initially made a request to the High Court, seeking an order that would compel the former UFC champion, Conor McGregor, to preserve evidence relating to an alleged event, which included footage from CCTV and camera phones. However, it seems that this request will no longer be pursued.
Meanwhile, the Gardai, which is the state police department of the Republic of Ireland, has been actively investigating another incident that occurred at the accuser’s residence. This is in relation to assault charges that were brought against Conor McGregor. According to reports, the police were looking into a break-in that occurred at a residence in south Dublin.
The incident in Drimnagh occurred after an attempt to set fire to the woman’s vehicle on January 19th, which also happened in the same area. It’s worth noting that neither of these incidents are related to the woman’s allegation that she was assaulted by Conor McGregor on his yacht in July near the Balearic Islands. Regardless, McGregor now has one less thing to worry about.
