Wes Scantlin, the enigmatic frontman of the rock band Puddle of Mudd, has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately. The singer, who rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits like “Blurry” and “She Hates Me,” has been struggling with substance abuse and legal troubles in recent years. It seems like things have just gone from bad to worse for the singer.
In a stunning revelation, RadarOnline.com has just broken the news that Wes Scantlin, known for his tumultuous past, has been taken into custody by the LAPD. The incident reportedly occurred after the troubled artist allegedly attempted to visit his former Hollywood Hills residence, which had been repossessed due to foreclosure.
As per official jail records, the embattled singer was booked and charged with a misdemeanor for trespassing.
Following his arrest, the embattled singer was initially held on a bond of $1000. However, he was later released on his own recognizance. The arrest occurred after a woman took to TikTok to allege that Scantlin had turned up uninvited at her residence in the Hollywood Hills and had refused to leave.
The woman posted a video on the social media platform showing a man, believed to be Scantline, parked in her driveway and sitting in his Hummer. She captioned the post as follows:
“When you walk down your driveway to catch an Uber and find a stranger camped outside and then realize it’s a famous rock singer who had his house foreclosed on (and has been arrested several times before) and was coming back to claim the house so you have to call the police because he begins to threaten the maid you hired and then he gets arrested because turns out he has an active order against him.”
Scantlin purchased the Hollywood Hills property in 2005 for $1.7 million but later lost it due to foreclosure in 2015. Following the foreclosure, she showed up at the home in 2016 and destroyed some property which resulted in his arrest.
At the time, the Puddle of Mud singer was arrested for vandalism and trespassing but was released on a $20k bond. He reached a plea deal in 2017 over the incident which saw him receive three years probation. He was also ordered to pay $40k in fines.
