Drake is undoubtedly one of the most popular rappers on the planet and he is also regarded as one of the most influential musicians of his time having won numerous awards including four Grammys. He also hinted at having a graceful retirement recently.
Drake recently shared his thoughts on his eventual retirement from the music industry, discussing his plans for a graceful exit from the spotlight. Drake, also known as the 6 God, recently had a picturesque interview with Lil Yachty on the beach, during which he hinted that retirement was on his mind.
He expressed that he was contemplating the idea of a graceful exit from the music industry, a topic he had previously discussed with Lil Yachty.
“I think I’m at the point now where I just wanna like — I feel like maybe we talked about this the other day. I feel like I’m kinda introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit.”
Drake had expressed his desire to retire by the age of 35 during the early stages of his career. However, he turned 37 later this year, and that age has come and gone. Despite this, the OVO boss has been reluctant to embrace the idea of retirement in recent years and has avoided discussions related to the topic.
In 2022, Drake released two projects – Honestly, Nevermind, which leaned towards house music, and Her Loss, a collaboration with 21 Savage. Both albums debuted at the top of the Billboard 200, showcasing the 6 God’s continued success in the music industry. By the looks of it, he won’t be retiring anytime soon.
