GloRilla’s tour made a triumphant stop at NYC’s Irving Plaza on Wednesday night, but unfortunately, there was an incident outside the venue involving the arrest of the “F.N.F.” rapper’s driver for gun possession by the NYPD.
According to TMZ Hip Hop, Cameron Blackmon was detected by a metal detector inside the venue. Upon further investigation, they discovered Blackmon sitting in the driver’s seat of a Suburban vehicle with two semi-automatic pistols in his possession.
Reportedly, officers apprehended Blackmon for criminal possession of a firearm, ammunition, and a switchblade. In addition to these charges, he also received a parking ticket for parking in the neutral zone in front of Irving Plaza.
Inside the venue, the atmosphere was in stark contrast to the events unfolding outside. GloRilla was seen enjoying her time with new friend Lola Brooke, who she later brought on stage. The night was capped off with a thrilling surprise as Cardi B made a cameo appearance, joining them for a performance of their hit song “Tomorrow 2”!
Glo’s ‘Anyways, Life’s Great’ tour has been eventful enough to provide ample material for a memoir. In addition to having a drink and jacket thrown at her during performances, the rising star is now grappling with the recent incident involving her driver’s arrest.
