Lady Gaga is certainly one of the most recognizable singers in the music industry right now. She also has acting gigs and has cemented herself in the pop culture of the world. Her dogs were also stolen a couple of years ago and now it seems one of the people charged in the theft has sued her for $500K.

Ryan Fischer, Lady Gaga’s dog walker, was shot on February 24, 2021, while walking three of the singer’s dogs. Fischer survived, and subsequently disclosed that his lung collapsed many times and that he was dealing with trauma from the incident.

In a shocking legal action, the woman accused of involvement in the theft of Lady Gaga’s French Bulldogs is claiming that the musician failed to follow through on her pledge of a $500,000 reward. The woman is now seeking legal action to compel Lady Gaga to fulfill her promise.

According to TMZ, Jennifer McBride claimed that Lady Gaga explicitly stated that she would offer the $500k “without any inquiries” when she initially announced the reward in February 2021, following the theft of her dogs Koji and Gustav at gunpoint from her dog walker.

McBride claims that she surrendered the dogs to Lady Gaga at the LAPD Olympic Community station on February 26, which was two days after they were stolen. However, McBride is currently facing charges of receiving stolen property and aiding and abetting the crime after the fact, in connection with the theft.

In addition to seeking the $500,000 reward, McBride is also asking the court to triple the damages to $1.5 million. She claims that Lady Gaga posted a deceptive reward, prompting McBride to surrender the dogs and subsequently face charges in connection with the theft.

Michele Hanisee, a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County, has informed TMZ that McBride was well aware that the dogs were stolen when she returned them, hoping to claim the reward. Hanisee further alleges that McBride was acquainted with the individuals responsible for the shooting for several years.

Moreover, Hanisee asserts that McBride and her accomplices believed they could involve her without getting caught because she is a white woman. Hanisee also notes that McBride is currently on probation, and if Lady Gaga suffered any financial loss due to the theft, the perpetrators could be held accountable for reimbursing her.
