Rihanna Receives Faux Fur Coat from PETA After Being Caught Wearing Real Fur

PETA has its senses working in all directions when it comes to animal cruelty. Even celebrities are not off the list when it comes to speaking up and standing tall for their principles. Now, Rihanna has been the recent victim of PETA’s sarcastic and jocular attack.

Rihanna is a mom of a 9-year-old kid she shares with A$AP Rocky. According to TMZ, PETA sent a heartfelt message about motherhood and the motherly instincts to save one’s kids. This comes as RiRi was seen donning a coat made out of real animal fur in recent times.

“As a mother, you know what it’s like to feel protective and to want to make sure no harm comes to your family. Please understand that this desire — this instinct even — is shared by the minks, foxes, and rabbits who are torn away from their families and killed for their fur.”

PETA’s senior vice president Lisa Lange described that the animals whose furs are used to make these dresses lead to a cruel ending. She was sure that her recent display in a fur coat are from the minks, foxes, and rabbits. She pleads with the singer to make a kinder world for her kids and choose fashion items that don’t involve hurting animals.

“Won’t you please help create a kinder world for your children to grow up in by deciding today that you’ll no longer wear fur?”

The organization offers to take away her original fur coat and give it to the people of Turkey and Syria, who really need it. It’s quite cold in those earthquake-stricken areas and a warm coat can be of great help to them. In exchange, PETA has offered to send Rihanna a faux fur coat which will make a similar fashion statement without any animals being hurt.

The “Diamond” singer has been wearing fashion items that have incorporated a fair amount of animal fur and skin. However, she received an award from PETA for advocating for faux fur products in her Fenti lineup. It’ll be interesting to see how she addresses this situation.
