Floyd Mayweather has fought in six exhibition boxing matches since his retirement in 2017 and appears to be enjoying the less serious nature of the fights. Mayweather fought former Bellator MMA fighter Aaron Chalmers in an unscored exhibition match last night in London, England. The fight lasted eight rounds and both fighters exchanged encouraging remarks afterward.
‘Money’ was the greatest attraction in combat sports for many years, and he continued to exude his showmanship this weekend. Mayweather was caught on camera dancing with a ring girl in between rounds against Chalmers much to the delight of the crowd.
Floyd Mayweather dominated Aaron Chalmers throughout their eight-round fight. ‘Money’ was able to avoid almost every punch thrown his way by the former Geordie Shore star while scoring crisp punches of his own. ‘Money’ indicated that he wanted to have fun in the ring with Chalmers, and it appears that he did.
The pair engaged in a wild flurry of strikes shortly before the end of one of the rounds, with Mayweather performing a pirouette on his way back to the corner. Floyd Mayweather praised Aaron Chalmers’ toughness after the Brit survived all eight rounds of the fight. During his post-fight interview, he acknowledged that ‘Money’ got him with a clean strike in round 2 that “woke him up,” and that he would recall the fight forever.
Chalmers thanked Mayweather after the fight and expressed hope that he can now get more engaged with fighters like Jake Paul and KSI. ‘Money’ revealed during his post-fight press conference that he may have broken his hand during the battle. Keep an eye on Thirsty for the most latest updates.
