LeBron James is a basketball legend, a player whose combination of size, speed, power, and skill has earned him widespread acclaim as one of the greatest athletes of his generation. However, LeBron James has been making headlines for the LA Lakers for a long time. With that being said, after the Lakers’ victory against the Mavericks, James was spotted leaving the American Airlines Center in Dallas while limping.
James appeared to suffer a right foot injury while attempting a layup against Dwight Powell in the third quarter. James was heard saying to the team’s bench that he “heard a pop.” James continued playing until the end of the game. The Lakers triumphed 111–108. “It’s been better,” James responded when asked about his foot after the game.
“That’s for sure. But I definitely wasn’t going to go to the locker room and not finish the game out tonight. Just understood the importance of the game, and then with the momentum that we had, I felt like we could still win after being down. We’ll monitor it the next couple days, see how it feels and go from there.”
James is currently “good,” according to Lakers coach Darvin Ham, but the team will keep an eye on his foot. “He’s good,” he said.
“Our medical people are looking at him now. He’ll be reevaluated again in the morning. So once we get some type of official word tomorrow, we’ll go from there. But as of right now, he’s good.”
However, despite the injury he sustained, James finished with 26 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, shooting 10-for-23. The Lakers made a remarkable comeback by overcoming a 27-point deficit, which is the largest in the current NBA season. Keep an eye on Thirsty For News to get the latest updates.
