Vince McMahon’s name is often associated with controversy in the world of professional wrestling. While some fans may find him eccentric and hard to comprehend, there’s no denying that his approach to the industry is shrewd and deliberate. That being said, it seems McMahon helped out a top AEW talent’s promo game in a huge way.
Vince McMahon’s unmatched commitment to the professional wrestling industry is widely acknowledged. As a renowned perfectionist, he consistently strives for excellence in his work, and his unwavering dedication is exemplified by his willingness to put his own body on the line when necessary. This unrelenting devotion to the sport has established him as an iconic figure in the industry.
As fans are aware, Chris Jericho is undoubtedly a seasoned veteran in the world of professional wrestling, with a career spanning over three decades. With such extensive experience, Jericho is acutely aware of his own value within the industry.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Chris Jericho revealed what he considers to be a great tool for wrestlers to use. Jericho stated that the power of silence is golden for wrestlers, adding that it was something he learned from Vince McMahon.
”When you bust something like that, it’s the first time I’ve done it since those days … if you know, you know. If you don’t, it’s a ridiculous thing — a guy just sitting there with a pen, so angry at everything and he’s just going to click it.
It’s timing. It’s history. But when I first started doing it, it was just more of a challenge. ‘Let me see if I can get a clicking of a pen over.’ Simply [put], it’s timing.
If you have good timing in wrestling … or anything you do in front of a live audience, you always get them. You have to have the confidence to know ‘I don’t have to say a word.’ It’s like those great promos … where you don’t even say anything.
You just come out and stand there. You’re about to talk, and you don’t, either the boos swell or the cheers swell. That’s the true essence of wrestling.”
Vince McMahon was also once offered money by a WWE Superstar’s sugar daddy to make her a champion. There is truly nothing McMahon will not do in order to get the desired reaction from the WWE audience and that is unlikely to ever change.
