WWE is finally preparing to move to its new headquarters located at 707 Washington Blvd in Stamford, CT. The move had been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it seems that the company is ready to make the transition to its new home. Naturally, this is a pretty big move for WWE.
According to a report by PWInsider, WWE will start the process of moving its first group of employees to the new headquarters later this month. Employees were reportedly informed that the plan is to have the initial divisions of the company in place at the new building by the end of March, indicating that the move is well underway.
The company intends to ensure a smooth transition for its employees and is taking a cautious approach to the process. While there is no firm date for the completion of the move, the hope is that it will be finished by 2023 or early 2024.
WWE’s new Global HQ is a significant upgrade from its current location. The new building boasts 712,000 square feet per floor, a considerable increase from the 110,000 square feet per floor of WWE’s current home. The company has signed a lease for 16.5 years with five five-year renewal options. While WWE has not expressed interest in purchasing the building at this time, the move to the new space signals a major step forward for the company.
WWE has been using the current Titan Tower building in Stamford, Connecticut as its headquarters since 1985. Over the years, the building has been featured in various WWE productions, including segments, show intros, and even pay-per-view matches, such as the 2020 Money in the Bank ladder matches, which were filmed at the headquarters due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
