Honey Boo Boo’s Boyfriend Dralin Carswell Arrested for DUI and Evading Arrest

Anna “Chickadee” Shannon, star of the reality TV show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” is making headlines once again, this time due to the legal troubles of her boyfriend, Jordan Carswell.

Jordan Carswell was taken into custody on February 28, 2023, after Monroe County deputies attempted to make a traffic stop and he fled the scene, according to a report by The Reporter. The authorities pursued Carswell for three miles before finally stopping him in Georgia, where he was arrested for DUI, fleeing, following too closely, failing to maintain lanes, and a speeding citation.

Although Thompson was present in the passenger seat, she was not arrested and was released into the custody of her sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon.

This is not the first time Carswell has had a run-in with the law. According to In Touch, Carswell was previously arrested for statutory rape in May 2019. He was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl after climbing through her window when he was 18. The girl’s mother reported the incident, and Carswell was also charged with making a false statement during questioning when he denied visiting the girl’s home.

In June 2021, Carswell agreed to a pretrial diversion agreement that included stipulations such as no alcohol consumption, drug and alcohol screening, seeing an addiction specialist, attending a moral reconation class, and having no contact with the victim. The case was subsequently closed.
