Donald Trump Is Bent On Calling Ron DeSantis “Tiny D”

Donald Trump might not be the most likable person in the world but his words have made millions smile. That smile might be in response to his mispronunciations, typos, and structuring of sentences. This time, he has taken shots at the Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis by giving him an embarrassing nickname.

The former president of the US has repeatedly mentioned Ron during his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference. According to Bloomberg, Trump has a list of frontrunners for a new nickname for the governor of Florida. The list had names like “Tiny D,” “Ron Dishonest,” and “Ron DeEstablishment.”

Trump addressed an audience of devoted fans at the annual conservative gathering. He called out Republicans who, in the past, have favored cuts to entitlement programs. He never mentioned DeSantis by his name however, made sure to call him out in an encapsulated manner.

There have previously been rumors that Trump is coming up with a new moniker for DeSantis. In a post on his website, Truth Social, earlier this year, Trump responded to related articles. In the article about Ron, he dismissed his presidential run as unimportant.

“All of the Fake News is reporting that I spend large amounts of my time coming up with a good ‘nickname’ for Ron DeSanctimonious, who is obviously going to give the presidential ‘thing’ a shot. They are all 100% wrong, I don’t even think about it — A very unimportant subject to me!!!”

Trump has previously taken credit for DeSantis becoming Governor of Florida. Appearing on The Hugh Hewitt Show, last month, Trump hooted his own horn by claiming to have immensely helped Ron to even get noticed. The RealClearPolitics average of polls on the predicted GOP candidates currently places Trump at 45 percent while DeSantis remains significantly lower at 29 percent.

“He was dead, he was leaving the race. He came over and he begged me, begged me, for an endorsement. He was getting ready to drop out. There were tears coming down from his eyes. He said: ‘If you endorse me, I’ll win.’ So I end up doing it, and he wins.”

The next presidential election will have a bunch of big names lining up to fight for votes. Apart from Trump and DeSantis, Republicans such as Nikki Haley, and likely Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo, and Tim Scott will be on the presidential run. While the majority of voters have always sided with Trump, we might see some surprises.
