Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne Hit With Sound Issues at Rolling Loud Performance

Nicki Minaj is making waves in the rap world once again. However, the rapper recently found herself in trouble after she experienced sound problems while performing with Lil Wayne at 2023 Rolling Loud California.

Lil Wayne was one of the featured performers at the popular traveling festival’s California edition on Saturday. Nicki Minaj was introduced during Tunechi’s performance. However, at that point, the sound system started to malfunction.

Nicki and Wayne swiftly performed her song “High School” without any issues. She quickly performed her hit song “Super Freaky Girl” after that before switching to her most recent music, “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” during which she experienced sound problems.

“Why it’s off beat?” Nicki asked aloud before asking the DJ to pause the music. “Is it off beat or is it just in my ear?” The DJ then began to play “Chun-Li,” but there were still issues with the sound. “Stop. What the f**k is good?” Nicki asked while appearing annoyed.

“Yo Juice, fix my muthaf***in mix. What the f**k is good? You know I don’t get down like that when the president is in the building. You know when the G.O.A.T. is in the building I gotta do this s**t right. You know when Young Money in the building the Queen gotta show the f**k out. Who the f**k they thought was coming here? One of my mini-mes.”

The track switched from “Chun-Li” to “Truffle Butter” as the sound issues persisted. Wayne later appeared on stage with Nicki Minaj. “Kill the DJ. Kill the sound guy,” Nick said aloud as she and Lil Wayne patiently awaited for the audio to be fixed.

Given the duration, Wayne had time to give a birthday shoutout to a fan. Things are finally put right with “Truffle Butter” being played as the closing number for Nicki’s cameo.
