Bam Margera, a founding member of the iconic TV series ‘Jackass’, was once part of a notable group that included Johnny Knoxville. However, due to his long-standing battle with drug addiction and other issues, he was unfortunately excluded from the latest production of ‘Jackass Forever’. Recently, he was arrested for domestic assault, adding to his troubles.
Previously, it was reported that Margera had run away from a Florida rehab facility he was not permitted to leave, leading to concerns among fans about his well-being. After being found, it was believed that his split from his wife was the reason behind his sudden departure from rehab. As reported earlier, Bam Margera’s wife filed for divorce back in February.
According to TMZ, Margera was arrested for domestic violence after a woman told police he kicked her. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department stated that Bam was arrested last Thursday around 5:30 AM after deputies were called to a home in Escondido, CA for a domestic dispute.
According to the alleged victim, Bam Margera kicked her, resulting in his arrest and booking at the Vista Detention Facility. He is facing a charge of corporal injury on a current or former spouse, cohabitant, dating partner or fellow parent.
The alleged victim is not his estranged wife, but his current girlfriend. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department added that Bam posted $50,000 bail the day after his arrest and was released from custody.
The District Attorney’s office has stated that they will not be filing any charges in Bam Margera’s case, as they only pursue charges when they are confident they can prove them beyond a reasonable doubt. It remains uncertain whether charges will be filed by another office or agency. We’ll keep you updated on this ongoing story.
