Bam Margera co-founded the legendary TV show ‘Jackass’, starring alongside prominent personalities like Johnny Knoxville. Unfortunately, his prolonged struggle with substance abuse and other personal problems resulted in his exclusion from the latest ‘Jackass Forever’ project. Additionally, reports suggest that he failed to support his former spouse during their separation.
It was previously reported that Margera had run away from a Florida rehab facility he was not permitted to leave, leading to concerns among fans about his well-being. After being found, it was believed that his split from his wife was the reason behind his sudden departure from rehab. As reported earlier, Bam Margera’s wife filed for divorce back in February.
Margera also recently expressed his disbelief at the fact that his wife was bashing him online. However, it seems she had every reason to do that as Margera allegedly didn’t support his ex-wife at all during their separation.
According to TMZ, Nikki Boyd’s attorney David Glas expressed his disappointment with Bam Margera’s actions, stating that Bam Margera has been negligent when it came to taking care of his ex-wife and child.
“Regrettably, Mr. Margera appears to be unaware of the meaning of ‘supporting your wife and child.
Nikki has no car, no money, is being evicted from her apartment, and can’t afford to send their child to school, while Bam drops $50,000 on bail, and who knows how much on a Las Vegas spree.”
David Glass was referring to Bam posting bail last week after being arrested for domestic violence near San Diego. Glass also emphasized the need for financial support, stating that Margera must provide his ex-wife with enough monthly funds in order to ensure that their son stays well.
“Bam or his parents, who oversee his finances, must provide Nikki with sufficient monthly funds to ensure their son’s well-being.”
In a recent social media post, Bam responded to Nikki and Glass’s request for financial support, stating that he doesn’t owe Nikki spousal support as they were never legally married. Bam also mentioned that he has been paying Nikki $5,000 per month and felt that he had fulfilled his obligation. However, he warned that he would stop sending money if he was unable to maintain a relationship with his son through regular communication and visits.
According to Glass, he plans to file legal documents in court seeking child support, spousal support, and attorney’s fees as early as next week. Glass alleges that Nikki has not received any financial assistance from Bam in the past two months, apart from the $5,000 that was sent on his behalf by Bam’s parents.
